Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
AfroGasm ("we", "us", "our") organises Afro nightlife events in the Netherlands and Curaçao. This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data of website visitors, ticket buyers, applicants and event attendees, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).

2. Data we process
- Contact form: name, email and message you send us. Used solely to reply.
- DJ and promoter applications: name, contact details, social profiles and the information you provide. Used to assess your application.
- Ticket purchases: handled by our ticketing partner CM.com. Refer to CM.com's privacy statement for details. We receive aggregated sales data only.
- Website analytics: aggregated, pseudonymised usage data via Google Analytics and Meta Pixel through Google Tag Manager, only after cookie consent.
- Event imagery: photo and video recordings made at our events (see section 3).
3. Photo and video recordings at events
During our events we make photo and video recordings of the venue, performers, atmosphere and crowd. These recordings are used for:
- Marketing and promotion of AfroGasm events
- Aftermovies, recap reels and social media content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- Our website and gallery pages
- Press and partner communication
Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in promoting our events, combined with the ticket terms you accept at purchase. The presence of recording equipment is also communicated through signage at the entrance and through our House Rules.
What we do not do: we do not sell recognisable close-ups to unrelated third parties, we do not use imagery for political or discriminatory purposes, and we do not deliberately single out individuals in a negative light.
Removal requests: if you appear recognisably in a photo or video and you want it removed, email info@afrogasm.com with a clear description or screenshot. We will respond within 14 days and, in case of a justified request, remove the material from our channels as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Retention periods
- Contact and application emails: up to 24 months after last contact.
- Event imagery used for promotion: kept as part of our archive for as long as it remains relevant to AfroGasm's brand history, unless a valid removal request is made.
- Analytics data: per the retention settings of the respective platform.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel, only after you accept cookies through the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including event imagery
- File a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)

7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version is always available at this page. Material changes will be announced through our channels.
